As our 5th year of existence comes to a close, we would like to thank all of our supporters. Every contribution has helped us to move forward and keep releasing the music we love. "Faces of Bayon - Heart of the Fire" is officially released on CD today. You can order it in our WebShop.

"FACES OF BAYON - HEART OF THE FIRE" release date announced, now accepting pre-orders

We have set the release date and are now taking pre-orders for the debut album of FACES OF BAYON, titled "Heart of the Fire".  This monster of an album will be unleashed on June 28th 2011.  It will come as a 6 panel digipack limited to 1000 copies and is comprised of 6 tracks clocking in at over 50 minutes.  The album was recorded live in the "cave of bayon" and mixed by the band.  Mastering was done by Roger Lavallee.  Cover artwork was painted by Hillarie Jason.  The band is a three piece from Worcester, MA featuring Matt Smith on Vocals and Guitar (ex Warhorse, Engorged), Ron Miles on Bass (ex Scattered Remnants, ex Twelfth of Never), and Matt Davis (ex Twelfth of Never, Labyrintheory).  This is the bands first album, focusing loosely on the concept of Lucifer's damnation. The album is also dedicated to Matt Davis, who died unexpectedly in January 2011.  Mike Brown is now playing drums for the band live and on all future recordings. Prepare to be crushed under the sheer weight of this unholy heaviness!

"Faces of Bayon - Heart of the Fire" cover art revealed!

Cover artwork for our next release, "Faces of Bayon - Heart of the Fire" has been revealed.  The painting was done by Worcester artist Hillarie Jason.  A professional high resolution scan was done of the painting for the best possible reproduction.

Update

A short update of our activities. The layout for "Faces of Bayon - Heart of the Fire" is still being finalized. Recording for the second album of French Black Metal cult "Quintessence" has been completed. The album titled "Le bourreau de Tiffauges" will be released on CD in February by Armee de la Mort. We will be releasing the album on vinyl format in the months to come. You can view the cover artwork and more information in the releases section of our site.

Mockingbird LP release cancelled

We are no longer putting out the Mockingbird self-titled debut on vinyl. It was to be a split release and the other label involved published an ad in Decibel Magazine with "finalized" cover artwork that was never approved by Ragnarok. We never even saw the ad proof until the ad was already past deadline and there was no turning back. Because of this we have made the decision to walk away from the project entirely. There is no bad blood or anything like that between the band and Ragnarok whatsoever. However, the other label involved displayed a level of incompetence that cannot be tolerated. It was a decision made out of necessity in order to maintain our own integrity. We wish the band the best in their future endeavors.
